WELCOME TO AVON MIDDLE SCHOOL!
Avon Middle school is a team organized, student-centered 7-8 middle school
designed to meet the needs of young adolescents. Each grade-level academic team is comprised of an English, social studies, science, and mathematics teacher. With our population of approximately five-hundred students, our five teams range from 90 to 110 students. For the 2024-2025 school year, there are two teams for 7th grade and three teams for 8th grade. Team teachers work and plan together to develop opportunities to explore themes and build academic skills. In addition, teachers meet on a daily basis to discuss the progress of their students, and plan together to meet the needs of each child. Also, our team structure provides the basis for effective home-school relationships through frequent and meaningful communication with families.
